Summer 2022 COVID-19 Policy
Here’s what you need to know to stay safe and healthy with us at Incite Dance Center!
** We are following the CDC, Skokie and Illinois COVID Safety Guidelines for Health & Fitness Centers. This is where we stand now. **
Mask-Optional COVID Policies and Procedures as of June 10, 2022
We will require our instructors teaching classes for ages 10 and below to continue to wear masks because this population is the most likely to have unvaccinated siblings below the age of 5 at home.
We may ask specific classes to remain masked if any of the students have vulnerable family members at home (we will keep this anonymous but email those classes separately).
We reserve the right to implement mandatory masks again at any time. We will always follow the science and local guidelines to the best of our ability.
We will be encouraging the following people to remain masked:
those recently exposed
those with unvaccinated family members
those who want to remain masked for any reason.
those feeling sick (if you feel sick, stay home! If you have COVID, stay home! If you are at the end of a cold, you can come but please mask up!)
We will continue our testing and exposure policies:
If you have an exposure to COVID-19 and are asymptomatic:
Inform Incite Dance Center immediately. You can return to Incite but you must send proof of a Negative COVID test 5-7 days after the exposure. This can be a rapid test (at-home test) or PCR test.
An exposure to COVID-19 is defined as close contact (within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes or more) with someone who has the symptoms of COVID-19 or tests positive within 2 days of your interaction.
If you test positive with COVID-19:
Inform Incite Dance Center immediately so we can inform any classes that the dancer recently attended. We will maintain anonymity.
As per the most recent CDC guidelines, please quarantine for days 0 - 5 (day 0 being the start of symptoms or the day you tested positive, whichever comes first). You can return to Incite masked for days 6 - 10. After Day 10 you can return to the mask-optional policy.
NO REFUND POLICY DUE TO COVID-19
We will comply with Illinois guidance and law on safety at all times, therefore we are prepared for any Phase Illinois goes into. Makeup classes will be available. Our staff work incredibly hard to give our students the best dance education, no matter the circumstances. We cannot refund due to COVID-19 restrictions as we will continue to be providing our services in a safe and fun way.
As always, our priority is the health and safety of our entire community. Thank you for being with us on this wild ride!
